Penn State Extension provides courses, on farm workshops, and support for new, establishing and next generation growers.
Penn State Extension has worked with more than two thousand next generation growers since 2009. Our new growers say, "I could not have launched this farm without the support of Penn State."
If you are:
- exploring the idea of farming
- in the first years of start-up
- establishing your farm
- next generation on the farm
you can find opportunities that are right for you!
Not yet sure if farming is right for you? You may (or may not) own land, but have not yet taken any steps to develop an agricultural business.

Young Next Generation
You are taking over the family operation, developing your new enterprise and innovating production practices.
Next Generation Hispanic

New Women Farmers
In addition to courses and workshops for all new farmers these opportunities are designed specifically for women farmers.
