Apprentices and Mentor Farmers

Farming is an artful combination of both mental and physical skills. Becoming truly skilled takes practice. Farm apprenticeships offer an avenue to gain skills and learn from master farmers. We hope the following resources and new farmer training network will help mentor farmers and farm apprentices create and experience the best learning possible.

Tri-State CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training) creates a mentor network of established farmers dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities for apprentices and new farmers in our region. The goal of the program is to share the collective knowledge of these experienced farmers to insure the success of the next generation of farms and farmers. Through field days and on-farm seminars, CRAFT educates and connects a network of farmers.
