2.1: Agronomy in PA
Pennsylvania's soils are well-suited for agronomic crops. Our producers grow a diverse mix of agronomic crops that are used for both livestock forage and fresh market sale. According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), Pennsylvania farmers harvested agronomic crops from 8.445 million acres in 2009, generating over $1.76 billion in sales.
