The evening will begin with Trey and Deirdre Flemming, owners of Two Gander Farm, providing an overview of the Two Gander heritage, and they will guide you on a tour of their multi-enterprise farming operation. Trey and Deirdre will share what makes their farm successful. You will learn about their whole-farm marketing and production planning for their farm market stands, CSA farm, wholesale, and restaurant venues. Deirdre will speak about creating the best customer experience at market and on the farm. Penn State Extension Educator, John Wodehouse, will provide tips to, take your farm business seriously, which will focus on the importance of record keeping and utilizing the future cash flow budget for better managerial and marketing decision making.

Established in 2009, Two Gander Farm is a vegetable & CSA farm owned by Trey and Deirdre Flemming. Nestled on 10 acres, within 260 acres of preserved land owned by the Brandywine Conservancy, just outside of Downingtown PA, Two Gander Farm grows delicious local food for the local community. The USDA Certified Organic farming business currently consists of a 130 member CSA, Farmers Markets, Wholesale-to-Retail stores, and Farm to Local Restaurants.

The Pennsylvania Vegetable Growers Association is the voluntary trade association for commercial vegetable, potato and berry growers in Pennsylvania with over 1,050 members across the Commonwealth and beyond. The Association publishes its own monthly newsletter and co-sponsors the Mid-Atlantic Fruit and Vegetable Convention as well as twilight meetings, field/market tours, field days, and regional grower meetings.
