In February, ten Biological Engineering and BioRenewable Systems students from the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Penn State University toured the JH Fletcher & Company, a mining equipment manufacturer located in Huntingdon, WV, on their way to attend the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. Dr. Jude Lui and Dr. Doug Schaufler organized the trip for students to gain exposure to a different industry (mining) and an appreciation for the vastness of equipment types available for agricultural production at the farm machinery show.
