Little Mac is a four foot tall robot that moves and talks. He is remotely operated via a radio control transmitter. The robot’s voice can be used in two ways: he will repeat anything a human operator says using the voice system, or he can play a prerecorded audio cassette.
The robot is most effective with children from ages 4 to 7. Little Mac is not as effective with older children, who often feel they are too mature for such things, and younger kids may be afraid of him. However, children of ages 4 to 7 will often talk with the robot and try to touch him. Little Mac can also be used with audiences of all ages to draw attention during presentations, fairs, and other situations where there are large groups of people and many booths vying for attention.
