Green Industry Professionals meet at Delaware Valley College Campus

More than 200 “Green Industry” professionals met for a day-long seminar at Delaware Valley College on January 8.
This event, co-sponsored by Penn State Extension, Delaware Valley College, The Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association and the Philadelphia Branch of the Professional Grounds Management Society has been conducted for more than three decades at the DelVal campus in Doylestown.
Ten speakers addressed subjects including native plants for Pennsylvania landscapes, soil fertility, plant disease management, Department of Transportation regulations and other important issues facing nursery, landscape professionals.
Speaker highlights were Eileen Boyle of the Mt Cuba Center, Dr. Douglas Tallamy of the University of Delaware and Penn State’s Dr. Gary Moorman.
