Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer’s Guide to Food Safety

March 3, 2012, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PMThe workshop is designed for volunteers who are responsible for preparing food for large numbers of people on occasion such as church suppers, fire hall dinners or other types of food fundraisers. The program will cover topics such as: how food becomes unsafe, purchasing and storage, keeping food safe during preparation, personal hygiene and cleaning and sanitizing.
- Cost of the program is $35 per organization. Each organization can send as many individuals as desired.
- Participants will receive a certificate of completion and each organization will receive the “Cooking for Crowds” food safety manual, two thermometers and food safety posters.
- Registration deadline is February 28, 2012.
