Many people at Penn State travel as part of study abroad programs, educational meetings, research conventions, etc. All travelers should be aware of the increase in bed bug infestations worldwide. While bed bugs feed on human blood, they are not known to transmit diseases, but the itchy, red welts sometimes caused by their saliva are very annoying.
