MG Classes

Classes begin Thursday, September 15, and continue until November 17. Following a break for the holidays, classes will resume on Thursday, January 5, 2012, and continue through March 22. The final exam will be administered on March 29. (This class schedule may be extended due to unforeseen weather cancellations.)

A pre-class interview session will be conducted on Thursday, September 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the extension office. At this time, we give a brief overview of the program and volunteer opportunities, administer a pre-test, and conduct brief one-on-one interviews.

The cost for the Penn State Master Gardener program is $150, which covers the cost of the Penn State Master Gardener manual, supplemental handouts, nametags, and speaker fees. The fee is payable once you have been accepted into the program and will be collected at the first class session on September 15.
