Mid-Atlantic Nutrition Conference is recognized as a premier educational event for the animal nutrition industry. Regulatory issues and future opportunities are discussed. The program is focused on poultry, dairy, and equine nutrition.
National Egg Quality School teaches about egg quality in a concentrated, comprehensive four days school. Individualized instruction coupled with "hands on" laboratory experience have proven to be successful techniques in preparing the student to become more knowledgeable about eggs.
The Mission of the symposium continues to provide cutting edge, timely, and hard hitting presentations that address the need for comprehensive programs and that assist members of the poultry system to fulfill their individual and collective environmental protection responsibilities.
The Pennsylvania Egg Quality Assurance Program (PEQAP) is a voluntary certification training program for egg producers, processors, and those technicians responsible for environment and egg sampling to train and certify program participants.
The 2013 conference was held at the Eden Hotel, Lancaster, PA, on Sept. 17 and 18.
Is a monthly lunch meeting held October to June each year. Contact Paul Patterson php1@psu.edu or Gregory Martin gpm10@psu.edu for more information. There is never a dull moment for poultry producers and the allied industries that support them. As with any agricultural enterprise, there are ups and downs, challenges, and joys producing meat and eggs for an American and global market. Economic and legislative challenges on the home front top the list. This noon seminar series is normally held on the second Monday of the months of Oct., Nov., Dec., March, April, May, and June. The seminar starts with a noon buffet lunch ($15) followed by the seminar speaker's presentation. Check the Poultry Extension Calendar for exact dates, times, and location. Recent programs have been recorded for individuals that have not been able to attend.
Annual program is designed for all youth 12 years of age and older and adults who enjoy learning or teaching youth about poultry.
