Summer 2012 Backyard Gardening Lecture Dates Set

Presented by the Penn State Master Gardeners of Allegheny County the summer session 2012 will return to Penn Hills Lawn and Garden Center on Saturday, July 28th from 9 AM to 12 PM.
This is a full morning of programming with three one hour classes included in the registration fee of $15 per person.
-What's New For Your Summer Garden - Carol Papas will highlight the plants that will carry your garden during the "dog days" of summer.
-Landscape and Design - Martha Swiss will discuss the basics that professionals use to create pleasing outdoor spaces.
-Preserving the Harvest - Master Food Preserver, Susan Marquesen, will cover the basics of canning, drying and freezing.
