Growth and Development
An important part of tracking corn growth and development is understanding the growth stages of corn, which can also be important for timing fertilizer and herbicide applications. Documenting corn growth stages is required when applying pesticides. A commonly used system for growth staging corn is described in detail in the Iowa State publication How a Corn Plant Develops.
