Soil Fertility Management
Soil testing is an excellent method for estimating the fertility status of a soil, and it provides valuable information for developing a sound fertility management program. Because the fertility status of a soil cannot be determined visually, a good soil test is essential.
An example Penn State soil test report is shown in Figure 1.2-2. Note: Summaries of soil test results from the Ag Analytical Services Laboratory may be used in educational programs; however, individual results will not be released outside of Penn State without permission of the client. The Penn State report is divided into four parts: (1) Soil Test Report, (2) Soil Nutrient Levels, (3) Recommendations, and (4) Additional Results.
