CRP Conservation Plan training - Two May 2012 Opportunities in NY and VA

You are invited to join a community of practice for conservation professionals - and attend a CRP Readiness Initaitive training that will take place May 1 and 2 (Auburn, NY) and May 7 and 8 (Charlottesville, VA). The training will provide participants with the tools needed to develop a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) conservation plan for landowners. You are also encouraged to share this invitation with your colleagues/conservation partners who are working with producers, landowners, and forest owners. Please note that the training is for THIRD-PARTY (non-federal conservation professionals) technical service providers including private sector, non-governmental sector, conservation districts, and others who are working with NRCS on delivering conservation programs.
The training team is comprised of professionals from Penn State Extension - and consultants with extensive experience with NRCS and FSA on CRP - including Jana Malot (retired from NRCS), Mike Linsenbigler (retired from FSA), Kristen Saacke Blunk (Penn State) and Laurie Schoonhoven (Penn State).
