Expanded Food and Nutrition Program

Parents enrolled in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) learn how to stretch food dollars and make healthier choices for their families.

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) continues to be an invaluable resource in York County, helping families “eat better for less.” During the current programming year, advisers conducted programs at 15 locations with the support of 20 community partners. A total of 106 participants completed at least nine core lessons and received certificates. One participant even wrote a thank you to the instructor, Kathi Jones, EFNEP Nutrition Adviser. The thank you note read, “Hey Miss Kathi. I just wanted to thank you so, so, so, so, so, so much! I have a job now at Winter Gardens, and the certificate helped a lot.”
