The 4-H School Enrichment projects are designed to enhance classroom education with experience-based learning—the hallmark of the 4-H youth development program for decades. Classroom-ready projects teach life skills as well as specific subject matter.
Program curricula are developmentally appropriate for grades K–12 and many projects meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education Academic Standards.
Explore Pennsylvania’s 4-H Cloverbud program for 5- to 8-year old children in grades K–3. The program offers noncompetitive, age-appropriate activities designed to help children learn about life. Cloverbuds curriculum is ideal for summer recreation or out-of-school programs. It can also be part of the existing school curriculum. Lessons center on science, nature, animals, art and music, the environment, food fitness and health.
4-H Afterschool includes two basic types of 4-H delivery modes as defined in the new National Definitions of 4-H Delivery Modes: Youth members of organized 4-H clubs and youth participating in school-aged child care programs.
