Evelyn Simmons Awarded the Distinguished Service Award at the 2012 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents' annual conference

Evelyn Simmons was recognized at the 2012 National Association of Extension 4-H Agents' annual conference this past October for her efforts with Penn State Extension 4-H Programming. The Distinguished Service Award is given to educators with seven or more years of service.

Evelyn brought new stability to her position as 4-H Youth Development Educator in Lycoming County, then created new events and programs in response to members’ interests through time. Her background in teaching contributed to Ev’s successful expanding of the county school enrichment programming ten times over. Two scholarships were endowed under her leadership. Ev most enjoys working with 4-H leaders and County Council.
