Where Did The Time Go?

Posted: February 12, 2014

The 2013-2014 Pennsylvania 4-H State Council members continued to be busy through the month of December. With various year end activities and deadlines and the holiday season there have been many service tasks and opportunities to promote 4-H.

Several Pennsylvania 4-H State Council members attended the Lady Lions Basketball game on December 15th. 4-H State Council members promoted 4-H at the Bryce Jordan Center, were recognized before the game, and interacted with the 4-H members and their parents who had come to see the basketball game. They had the opportunity to meet the coach of the Lady Lions. To make the day even better, the Lady Lions were victorious over the Aggies of Texas A & M.

There was work to be done at the “Face to Face” meeting that was held on a snowy day in mid-December at Penn State. The Pennsylvania 4-H State Council members went to work on all of the details and assignments for the upcoming State Leadership Conference set for January of 2014. The council members had “a blast” making a video to be used at the SLC which incorporates the superheroes theme for the leadership conference. The fun did not end with the video making; the 4-H Council members had fun exchanging “Secret Santa” gifts while they got into the holiday spirit.

Just like opening presents under the tree, the Pennsylvania 4-H State Council members cannot wait for the State Leadership Conference. It is bound to be a “super” experience.
