Jackie Beisel Wins "Spirit of Extension Award"

Jackie Beisel, Indiana County 4-H Member, has been named the winner of the Penn State Cooperative Extension Director's "Spirit of Extension Award" for Outstanding Youth.

The Spirit Awards are to recognize individuals who exemplify the spirit of Cooperative Extension in their work and volunteer activities. She was recognized at a recent statewide conference of extension professionals at the Blair County Convention Center.

Jackie is the daughter of Deborah and Ray Beisel, Clymer, and she is a member of the Marion Center Handy Helpers 4-H Club.

Her project work has included national wildlife and forestry activities, Regional 4-H Camp counseling, National 4-H Congress, and National 4-H Conference. She has been named the county Outstanding 4-H Member, and she was a 4-H Ambassador. She is currently a freshman at IUP. She is the third 4-H member from Indiana county to win this award – other winners were Chad Barclay and Brianna Isenberg.
