4-H Speaks Out
Posted: March 25, 2011
On Tuesday, March 22, 2010 Cumberland County and Perry County 4-H members competed in Speak Out Night. Speak Out Night took place at the Cumberland County Extension Office, where members from all ages of 4-H singed up to give a variety of different speeches. Styles consisted of PowerPoint, Prepared Speech, Impromptu Speech, Pledge Reciting and Radio Spot Presentations. The members had a great time and learned from the volunteer Judges there to improve upon for next year. There was even a special guest Judge, Representative Steve Bloom. The night concluded with a presentation from the 2010 – 2011 4-H State Council President, Logan Hall. He helped spread the knowledge and understanding of what Pennsylvania 4-H State Council does and who they are and all the State opportunities that are available to 4-H teens! The members then received their awards and got the opportunity to enjoy a few refreshments. The 2011 4-H Speak Out Night was an outstanding night of making the best better.
