Do you eat food, wear clothes, or drive a car? When you answered yes, you also just said that you depend on agriculture.

National Agriculture Day took place on March 15, 2011. Over 100 college students who represented a wide variety of Agricultural Organizations met at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, MD where they prepared through a number of workshops to speak with legislators on The Hill on National Ag Day. The conference took place from March 13 through March 15 all containing numerous opportunities that helped each and every Ag Representative gain valuable skills that will be used for the rest of their lives. Over the three days we got to converse with Ag Organization Representatives from all over the nation at a Coffee Reception on the patio at the USDA, enjoy a luncheon with Legislators and their representatives, and sat down and talked about thoughts on Agriculture with Senate and House members. In addition  we got the privilege and honor to hear as well as speak with a great number of National Superior Individuals including; Tres Bailey with Wal–Mart’s, Jim Travis with Monsanto, Kelli Ludium with American Farm Bureau Federation, and Charlie Stenholm who is a Senior Policy Advisor are just to name few. National Ag Day 2011 was a day of success for many but we all have to remember just because the day has come to a close for another year agriculture continues to grow.
