Pennsylvania 4-H State Achievement Days

4-H State Achievement Days is an educational three-day program for 4-H members (ages 13-18), sponsored each year by Penn State Extension. This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.

4-H members from across Pennsylvania will come to University Park campus for the 73rd annual 4-H State Achievement Days, August 1-3, 2017. (Please note these dates are tentative at this time.)

4-H State Achievement Days consists of many contests and events, both competitive and non-competitive, as well as service learning projects. Such events provide youth with educational opportunities to develop self-confidence, increase skills in project work, increase skills in decision making and develop high standards.

State activities are specifically designed for 4-H members to have an opportunity to:

  • demonstrate knowledge and skills in selected subjects
  • receive recognition
  • become acquainted with 4-H members and adults from across the Commonwealth
  • become better acquainted with The Pennsylvania State University
