4-H teens 13 and older who have demonstrated their willingness to learn and who are committed to using their leadership skills will attend this weekend-long educational experience. They will work with leadership educators from around the country to build and perfect their skills. At the end of the weekend, these delegates will implement a leadership experience for their peers and younger members in their own communities.
The kinds of skills that teens will develop during this weekend experience are the kind of personal assets that research says make teens competent, capable, and caring adults. Our agenda includes communication techniques, team building, decision making, and goal setting. Particular highlights for this year’s conference are the keynote speakers. These individuals are known throughout the country as top leadership educators in their respective fields.
