MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING DATES
Posted: October 23, 2012
Penn State University has determined that all volunteers working with minors will be required to complete Mandated Reporter Training on an annual basis to increase awareness and procedures for reporting child abuse. The training involves about 2 hours of your time and can be completed in a group setting at the Extension Office or on your home computer from the convenience of your home. The following dates and times are when the training will be offered: Oct. 30, 1 pm, Nov. 1, 7 pm, and Nov. 15, 7 pm. Trainings will be in Room 1 at the Extension Office. You only need to attend ONE of the sessions. You must attend either a face‐to‐face session or log onto one of the sessions on your home computer. If you complete the session online from home, you will be required to print out a completion certificate and return a copy to Mary Jo at the Extension Office as proof of participation. This is a mandated and required training to maintain 4‐H leader status.
Who should attend this training? If you are an Organizational, Project or Activity leader in a club OR have unsupervised access with minors at or during a 4-H meeting or activity, you must attend this training. If you have questions, please contact Mary Jo. Registration is required. Please register with Kelly at ksf13@psu.edu or 840-7408.
