4-H Leaders Begin Building the New Year!
Posted: February 18, 2015
The 4-H Leaders Kickoff in Westmoreland County was a success! Leaders enjoyed dinner and an opportunity to socialize with fellow leaders, elected officials, and guests. State Representative Tim Krieger, Commissioner Tyler Courtney, and Commissioner Ted Kopas were able to join us in recognizing 4-H Leaders for their dedication and efforts in shaping our 4-H youth.
This year leaders and guests participated in a team building activity. They were tasked with building a "marshmallow tower" out of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. The team with the tallest tower took home the "Marshmallow Trophy!" When time was up after 8 minutes and the towers were judged there was discussion. Everyone discussed how the activity helped build and recognize leadership skills.
A big thanks goes out to the members from the Westmoreland County 4-H Teen Leadership Council who helped with registration, the pledges, and the invocation.
