The 4-H Travel-All Club in Westmoreland County has a longstanding tradition of community service. They would like to thank the people who participated in the Penn State Extension 4-H Travel-All Blood Drive held at the Extension Office. Each year the Travel-All Club hosts a blood drive to help the community and people who are in need of life saving blood. This year 24 people donated blood. That blood will be able to help 72 people who are in need. The continued community service done by the club became even more apparent when U.S. Navy Seal John McConnell attended the blood drive with his daughter Maddie. He wanted to thank them for the care packages he received from them while he was stationed in the Middle East. The 4-H members were able to see firsthand that their community service makes a difference in people's lives.
