Project Clubs
Members of our club are involved in the Livestock project. We are a market animal program educating youth on raising and showing market swine, sheep and beef. Members are encouraged to learn how to judge and evaluate meat quality.
We are a diverse club carrying a wide variety of projects, including everything dealing with livestock, food and nutrition, clothing and gardening. We also have an outstanding Cloverbud program.
We are an Entomology Club. We enter our bug boxes in the Westmoreland Fair. We are crazy about insects and if you like them too, this is the club for you! We pin, collect, raise and teach others. It a great time!
Our 4-H members own, lease or have an interest in Llamas. Youth learn how to care for and train llamas. The annual "Showmanship" is conducted at the Llama Roundup at the Westmoreland Fair.
4-H members include their dogs in this project where they learn basic Dog Obedience, Showmanship and Grooming, and responsible dog ownership.
Our club provides leadership in the breeding, care and showmanship of dairy cows.
A citizenship club open to any 4-H'er between the ages of 13 to 18 who wants to have fun, travel and learn more about our county, country and world.
The Westmoreland Squares are a group of 4-H youth from throughout Westmoreland County that gather together to square dance.
We carry all livestock projects, inside exhibits, shotgun and rifle, rockets, bicycle, entomology and more.
