4-H Day camp was held on July 9, 2014 at Washington Park. We had 56 4-H members and 18 Counselors.
Washington County sent 8 Counselors and 12 4-H members to the SW Regional 4-H Camp.
4-H members are given an opportunity to improve their public speaking skills and demonstration skills at the 4-H County Activity Night held on Monday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m.

The Washington County 4-H Officer Training took place on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Courthouse Square Building room 103 and 104.
Washington County 4-H Social Dinner Dance was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the 4-H Junior Building at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Local youth were among 88 4-H’ers from 38 counties across the state who met in Harrisburg recently for the annual Pennsylvania 4-H Capital Days program. Capital Days is a citizenship-awareness and civic-engagement educational program held by Pennsylvania 4-H. Attending from Washington County were TJ Vercek , Susie Jones, Christina Motichak, Isaac Jones, Timothy Solobay, and Brendin McCullough. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the event.
The Washington County 4-H Clubs collected 5,857 pounds of food or over 5 tons of food and supplies for the Washington County Food Bank.
Come Learn About Pennsylvania's Forests and Wildlife! The PA 4-H Wildlife & Forestry Educational Field Day is a state level experience for all 4-H youth. It is slated this year for April 26, 2014, and will take place in Rock Springs, PA (at The Ag Progress Days Site), 12 miles south of State College, PA.
SLC was held on January 17-19 at the Penn Stater Conference Center. This year's theme was "Leadership Makes You A Hero".

South Pike Pioneers had their year end meeting and dinner on November 18, 2013. Pam Palletta, 4-H Penn State Educator, was the guest speaker for the night. Pam taught 8 Essential Elements to the group. Out going organizational leader Jodi Gatts, presented certificates and gifts to the members and leaders. The club also presented Jodie with a gift for all her years of service. Thank you Jodi for all your hard work.
On November 7, 2014, county council did a service learning project.
On October 7, 2013, Washington County Council participated in the 2013 national science experiment called MAPS & APPS.
The 4-H Shotgun Club Senior team was ranked #1 and the Junior team was ranked #2 in the state at the State Achievement Days Competition held as Shenecoy Sportsman Club.
The Washington County 4-H Development Committee presented 30 4-H & FFA Scholarships at the Washington County Fair.
On April 19, 2013, we had an officers training at the extension office. HG Parkinson FFA was our guest speakers that demonstrated how to do Parli Pro. The members of county council taught the officers their job duties and how to make a motion. Everyone enjoyed pizza and ice cream sundaes. Thank you to everyone that helped make the event a success.

Washington County Council invited 4-H members to join them December 3, 2012 for Christmas Caroling at the Presbyterian Home in Washington. 4-H members went floor to floor caroling and passing out Christmas cards, and passed on the holiday spirit to the residents. This an annual service project that the County Council does each year.
