On April 19, 2013, we had an officers training at the extension office. HG Parkinson FFA was our guest speakers that demonstrated how to do Parli Pro. The members of county council taught the officers their job duties and how to make a motion. Everyone enjoyed pizza and ice cream sundaes. Thank you to everyone that helped make the event a success.

Washington County Council invited 4-H members to join them December 3, 2012 for Christmas Caroling at the Presbyterian Home in Washington. 4-H members went floor to floor caroling and passing out Christmas cards, and passed on the holiday spirit to the residents. This an annual service project that the County Council does each year.
County Council held the Leaders' Appreciation Dinner on November 2, 2012 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The County awards and the Leader awards were presented. The county council also had a silent/live auction that raised $1,272 for the county council. Click on the attachment to see the winners.
Washington County sent 30 4-H members to compete in the 2012 State Days at Penn State University on August 7- 9, 2012.
Washington County celebrated a 100 years of 4-H at the Opening Ceremony of the Washington County Fair on August 11, 2012
22 4-H members participated in the Macy's back to school fashion show on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
The Washington County 4-H Development Committee presented 26 4-H & FFA Scholarships at the Washington County Fair.
At the Washington 4-H County Council meeting teens participated in the ECO-BOT Challenge.
At the September 10, 2012 4-H County Council meeting officers were elected.

Washington County 4-H Horse Members Rocked the State 4-H Horse Show in Harrisburg this October!

Washington County had 17 4-H dairy members compete in the State Dairy Show in Harrisburg on September 17, 2011.
Takes Place at the Children’s Garden at Washington County Fair
4-H State Achivement Days was held at Penn State University onJuly 26-28, 2011. Washington county had 33 4-Hers participating in the contests.
Mon Valley District Dairy Show was held July 29 & 30 at the Fayette Fair.
