Farm Safety and Health Quiz Bowl
April 28, 2014It's that time of year to identify Farm Safety & Health Quiz Bowl members. Preliminary rounds are held at Ag Progress Days, August 13, 2014. The final round will be held at Farm Show on January 14, 2015. 4-H team members must be in the 9th to 12th grades as of August 1 in the competition year, and be registered 4-H club members from a single county.
2014 4-H State Achievement Days
April 28, 20144-H State Achievement Days is an educational three-day program for 4-H members (ages 13-18), sponsored by Penn State Extension. This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program for 4-Hers
September 3, 2014WASHINGTON, D.C. - Over the past 19 years, Prudential Spirit of Community Awards have been given to more than 100,000 middle and high school students across the country for helping the less fortunate, promoting health and safety, protecting the environment, and serving their communities through many other volunteer activities. Today, the search begins to identify thousands more who have made meaningful contributions to their communities over the past 12 months, as the awards program kicks off its 20th year. These awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial, Inc. in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), honor outstanding community service by students in grades 5 through 12 at the local, state and national level.
August 13, 2014Pennsylvania was one of 12 state teams that competed in the 35th annual National 4-H Forestry Invitational from Sunday, July 27, through Thursday, July 31. Teams from Alabama, New York, and Georgia placed first, second, and third respectively. Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia were also represented at this year's Invitational.
Lebanon County 4-H Club Sends Rabbits to Haiti
July 30, 2014The Rags to Rabbits 4-H Club in Lebanon County has a Haitian connection. This year a 15 year old youth currently serving with his family as missionaries in Haiti enrolled in the Lebanon County 4-H Club to learn more about rabbits.
