June 4, 2014This T-Shirt Design Contest is open to all Pike County PA 4-H members and leaders. See the details listed below and be sure to send in your drawing by June 30. All contest participants get a free t-shirt when they are printed for Harvest Fest.
4-H Horse and Pony Club News
May 27, 2014The Horse and Pony Club, a Pike County 4-H club at Van Wyk Farms in Hawley, PA, recently donated 10 “Fire Halters” to GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center in Milford. The 4-H members studied the design, followed the directions provided, and presented these special halters to Martha Dubensky, executive director of GAIT.

Nancy Hottle Honored
June 11, 2014Pennsylvania 4-H is proud to recognize Nancy Hottle of Coopersburg, PA, for her commitment to Penn State Extension's 4-H Youth Development Program and the community. Nancy is named the 2014 North East Region Salute to Pennsylvania Excellence 4-H Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer.
Anna “Mickey” Peters, 4-H Leader, Honored
June 11, 2014The National Association of Extension 4-H Agents Hall of Fame Task Force proudly announces that Anna “Mickey” Peters, 4-H Leader in Centre County, Pennsylvania, will be inducted into the National 4-H Hall of Fame 2014 Class on October 10, 2014 at the National 4-H Center.

May 28, 2014Spring is finally here! For those of us showing animals as well as preparing fields it is a busy, busy time! Everyone’s barns have begun to fill up with young show animals. The grass is starting to turn shades of green again, flowers are trying to peak through the ground, and of course it's getting warmer.
