Penn State Extension Philadelphia "We're on Target" 4-H Archery Club participated in the Regional 4-H Archery Shoot

Members of Penn State Extension Philadelphia "We're on Target" 4-H Archery Club participated in the Regional 4-H Archery Shoot on Saturday, June 11th.  The regional shoot is held at the Branch Valley Fish, Game, & Forestry Association located on Ridge Road in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.

Last year, the club entered four shooters in the competition; this year the number of shooters doubled and eight young archers competed in the regional shoot.  The purpose of the club is to promote the highest standards of safety, ethical behavior, and sportsmanship.  The students ranged in age from eight to 16 years of age.

Even though rain threatened to postpone the competition, everyone remained eager to participate.  Six of the eight students placed, but more importantly, all eight had a great time and enjoyed meeting 4-Hrs from other counties

Thanks to the parents for bringing the 4-Hrs and supporting them over the past years.  All are looking forward to next year and improving their scores.  A special thanks to Jackie Simon, the Penn State Extension Philadelphia 4-H Coordinator, for making the club possible.
