4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Training is being offered for leaders across Pennsylvania who are interested in working with 4-H youth in the 4-H club setting.
This free workshop will present the essential components that must be present in lesson plans in order to fully engage learners. It will focus on the ways that educators can reflect on their current lessons in order to improve them. Emphasis will be given to educators who teach “mandated” lessons as well as to those responsible for creating their own.
This free workshop will engage participants in the process of applying the concepts that were covered during “Write with Confidence” to their existing lesson plans. The knowledge and skills that participants learn through this workshop can be put to use immediately.
The PA 4-H State Leadership Conference provides a state level educational experience for Pennsylvania 4-H members that builds and enhances skills used throughout their 4-H careers and beyond.
This workshop will uncover methods to assess both the individual learner, as well as the effectiveness of the program overall. Participants in this session will work to determine whether what was taught was effectively learned, as well as how to gather feedback on the overall program effectiveness.
The 2017 Pennsylvania 4-H Capital Days will be held April 1-3 (Saturday-Monday) at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers in Harrisburg, PA. Capital Days is a 3-day experiential program that provides 4-H’ers ages 14-18 with the unique opportunity to enhance their citizenship and advocacy skills and knowledge of Pennsylvania state government.
