The Northumberland County 4-H Clubs held their Project Round-Up on August 24, 2011 at the Sunbury Armory in conjunction with the Northumberland County Fair. Nearly 100 4-H Members, Leaders and Family Members attended the Round-Up, which was followed by a picnic sponsored by the Northumberland County 4-H Development Council, 4-H Clubs, and County Fair. A great big thanks to the judges: Bridget Andrews (CSC Extension Administrative Assistant, 4-H), Linda Hendricks (Columbia County 4-H Coordinator), Dale Hendricks (Columbia County Shooting Sports Volunteer Leader), Kathy Weller (Snyder County 4-H Coordinator), and Vonnie Young (Montour County 4-H Coordinator). Also to Jeannie Snover and Traci Nicola, Backwoodsmen Club Leaders, for their help with registration and ribbon writing and to the members of the Northumberland County Council - Rachel Savidge, Gabby Smith, Amber Rarig, and Valerie Rarig AND Dylan Levan, Vice President of the Columbia County Council, for their help with keeping the younger 4-H'ers entertained between the project judging and picnic!
A big congrats (and Thank You!) to the Leck Kill and Saddle Starz 4-H Club, who both had 100% completion of their projects AT ROUND-UP! (For those of you who were unable to make Round-Up, please remember that you need to contact Sam to make an appointment to have your projects judged prior to September 30!)
Last, but certainly not least, the Judge's Choice and Clover Award winners for the night were:
