4-H Member Information for Northumberland County Fair

Posted: July 6, 2011

The Northumberland County Fair Committee is hard at work getting ready for the 2011 Fair!  In addition to the Northumberland County 4-H Program's Project Round-Up being held the evening prior to the start of the Fair, Northumberland County 4-H members are welcome to enter their projects into the Fair for judging and display during the three-day-long event.

Wendy Horn, who serves a 4-H Development Council Member AND the 4-H Contact for the County Fair, has been working with 4-H staff to ensure that members who wish to enter will have all the information they need.  As with last year, all 4-H members are required to pre-register their projects for the fair.  The fair catalogue and entry forms will be available shortly from the Extension Office (a link will also be placed on this site for you to download the entry forms).  These entry forms will be due back to Sam Nicola at the Sunbury (District) office by no later than Wednesday, August 10, 2011.  The forms will be verified by Sam to ensure that you are enrolled in the project in which you are entering.

The only change to this year's Fair Entries will be that all 4-H members will need to pay a $0.50 per entry fee.  Although the Fair Committee has been able to waive this fee for pre-registration in the past, their budget from the State no longer makes this possible.

More information will follow as it becomes available.
