A New Event for 4-H’ers! The information on each contest is listed below. Contests occur at different times with some overlap. Events are open to Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Montour, Mifflin, Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties. Shooting Sports is open to any PA 4-H'er.
Shooting Sports Competition for 4-H Members in Air Rifle, Air Pistol, and/or Archery projects.
4-H Horse Camp is designed to give the beginner and the experienced equestrian a chance to learn by doing. Participants will have two small-group-instruction riding sessions per day. There will be horse science clinics/demonstrations, horse games, plus work on horsemanship skills.

4-H Camp Brulé - Central Susquehanna Counties is a structured, educational 4-H event for members 4-H age 8 - 18 (as of January 1, 2016). Your son/daughter will be supervised by qualified staff and trained counselors. The five-day program is planned to keep the campers busy with activities centered around natural resources, swimming, recreation, handicrafts, health and fitness, outdoor adventure skills, and leadership.
4-H and FFA members have the opportunity to exhibit registered dairy animals in the following breeds; Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein, Jersey, Milking Shorthorn and Red and White at the East Central District Dairy Show.

4-H State Achievement Days is an educational three-day program for 4-H members (ages 13-18), sponsored each year by Penn State Extension. This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.
The district horse show for the following county 4-H horse clubs: Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Tioga, and Union.
Held during Ag Progress Days, teams of four will compete in a series of head-to-head elimination matches. Teams will be asked questions and awarded for correct answers. There are two age divisions - junior (ages 8-12) and senior (13-18). Any youth with equine interest can participate.
