Exploring Your Environment
This curriculum teaches basic ecological concepts that help youth understand how nature works and how we affect it and are affected by it. Focus Area: Water conservation, energy use, climate change, recycling, natural resource stewardship and air quality.
Grades: 6th – 8th (Ages 11-13)
Focusing on environmental stewardship and issues such as transportation choices, waste management, composting, recycling, and natural resources, youth will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities that focus on our ecosystems, climate change, life cycles, ecological footprints, and living a sustainable life.
Exploring Your Environment Facilitator’s Guide will provide training, supplemental activities and resources to help the facilitator deliver the Exploring Your Environment curriculum.
