4-H Summer Fun Camps

Make memories to last a lifetime at this summer’s Montgomery County 4-H camps! The camps offer kids the opportunity to ride horses, make delicious and nutritious meals, learn to safely shoot a bow, explore different animal science camps and much more!

4-H Youth Horse Camp

  • Date: June 19 - 23, 2017
  • Time: 8:30am - 3:00pm
  • Ages: 8-18 (All participants MUST be 8 years of age as of 1/1/2017)
  • Fees:   
    $250, 4-H Equine Club Members
    $275, 4-H Non-Equine Club Members
    $300, Non 4-H Members

Love horses? Always wanted to ride a horse? Want to learn a new skill and increase your bond with your own horse? Then you'll want to sign up for 4-H Youth Horse Camp, a week-long, full-day horse camp open to kids ages 8-18, as of 1/1/2017.

Kids of all riding levels and riding disciplines are welcome. No prior riding experience? No problem! Campers will spend at least 1½ - 2 hours riding each day, in addition to hands-on learning, crafts, demos, games, and more! Use our horses or bring your own!

4-H Youth Chef Camp - New Session Added!

  • Ages: 8-13 (All participants MUST be 8 years of age as of 1/1/2017)
  • Fee: $140 includes all materials costs

Have fun cooking and eating! Campers will be preparing a delicious, nutritious lunch and a variety of snacks for all four days. Cool concoctions and fun foods will highlight the menu! All new recipes! Kitchen safety and proper food handling techniques will also be taught.

4-H CloverBuds Day Camp

  • Date: July 10 - 13, 2017
  • Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm
  • Ages: 5 - 8 (All participants MUST be 5 years of age as of 1/1/2017)
  • Fee: $60

This half day camp is based on the guidelines of our 4-H Cloverbud Club program and will introduce our youngest campers to some of the 4-H animal clubs. Designed for children ages 5 to 8 years old as of 1/1/2017, additional activities will focus on science, nature, animals, the environment and other fun projects.

4-H Youth Archery Camp

  • Date: July 10 - 13, 2017
  • Time Schedule:
    July 10th - 13th, 2017 6pm – 7pm for Session 1
    July 10th - 13th, 2017 7pm – 8pm for Session 2
  • Ages: 10 - 18 (All participants MUST be 10 years of age as of 1/1/2017)
  • Fee: $75/week (4 classes)

Looking for something new to try this summer? Discover archery! All equipment is provided. Learn about safety, teamwork, marksmanship, and more.
This year we are offering 2 beginner sessions. Session 1 and Session 2 will be the same camp – so only sign up for one! Instruction from experienced USA Archery certified instructors. Learn about the Montgomery County 4-H Archery Club and potential for competitive shooting. Archery camps are for ages 10-18 years old. All participants MUST be 10 years of age as of 1/1/2017.

4-H Animal Science Day Camp

Love animals? Want to be introduced to all kinds of animals? Here is a great opportunity to learn about different animals, the care needed for them and to get some hands on experience! Please bring a bag lunch and wear comfortable clothes with closed toe shoes, sneakers preferred.

4-H Canning Camp - New This Year!

  • Date: July 25 - 27, 2017
  • Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm
  • Ages: 9 - 12 (All participants MUST be 9 years of age as of 1/1/2017)
  • Fee: $100 (includes all materials)

Learn how to use the fruits and vegetables from your garden (or the store) to eat throughout the year with your family!  Campers will make pickles, salsa, jam/jelly and more! Cooking can be messy so wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty. T-shirts and shorts or jeans and closed toe shoes (i.e. sneakers) are preferred. Please bring an apron!
