Good Production Practices
Posted: February 23, 2011
With the start of the New Year comes a new requirement. All animal science (horse, beef, dog, cat, etc) youth are to participate in training each year on Good Production Practices (training topics will change yearly). This program replaces the old “ethics” training that all large animal members had to participate in and has been expanded to include all animal species.
Since this is mandatory I wanted to give you as much advance notice of the training dates scheduled for Monroe County as possible. The training will take place here at the Extension Office. Pre-registration for each session is due one week in advance and must be done through e-data. Unfortunately due to the supplies and materials needed for the training, walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
It is important that you register for one of the three listed sessions in e-data. If you have questions, give us a call.
