The primary purpose of the 4-H youth animal projects is to provide an opportunity for growth and development of the young person. A secondary purpose is to teach young people quality animal management practices and how to apply them to the selection, feeding, and showing of their animals.
ALL 4-H animal science project members must complete Quality Animal Management training each year by July 1st. This training is specific to Equine. Separate trainings for Poultry, Beef, Dog, etc. will be individually scheduled.
Registration is required and space is very limited at each session.
- There are no walk-ins accepted at these sessions.
- A parent must attend the training session with their child.
- A minimum of 5 members will be required to hold the training.
- Maximum will be about 10. Registration will close when session is full.
