PA 4-H Animal Science Camp
Posted: February 9, 2017
We’ve added a new dairy track! That makes this event “PA 4-H Dairy, Equine, and Livestock Science Camp”! That’s a long name, but also a great sign that our camp is growing! The dairy track will accept an additional 60 youth and offer an anticipated 15 screened adult chaperone/staff spots. The dairy track will replace the successful Dairy Cow Camp held at Penn State in past years. It will bring participants Dale Olver’s excellent workshop track while allowing us to pool our resources where housing, transportation, and logistics are concerned. We’re excited to be adding dairy to the mix!
Camp is open to screened adult chaperones and 4-H teens (ages 13-18 on 1/1/17). We’re still working out some final details with university housing. Watch for registration information and a brochure via email as soon as we know final details and have our CVENT site up and running. As in 2016, CVENT registration will use the “registration by individual” model—it will not be a 'registration by extension office' site. Camp spots do fill quickly, so we’re getting inquiries already. We expect our CVENT site to go live sometime in February.
