Emily Genduso

Age: 18

Clubs: Toastmasters, Hunter's Run

Projects: Public Speaking and Horses

Recent 4-H Accomplishment: Qualified and participated in the PA 4-H State Horse Show

Favorite Memory: One of my earlier production horse shows. I was nervous and was really proud when Blaze (my horse) listened well, even though a lot was going on. There was a nicely built gray, Andalusian-looking colt behind me and Blaze, the colt started rearing up and acting out as we presented to the judges in a line. It was funny in a way because I expected Blaze to freak out as well since he was so young, but all he did was hide behind me! It was super cute and just one of those strange scenerios where for whatever reason he thinks I can somehow protect him.

School and Community Activities: Drama club, marching band, Odyssey of the Mind, Girl Scouts, National Honor Society, 3rd Degree Shotokan Black Belt, attended Governor's School for Engineering at Lehigh University and a current student at Penn State University.

What Her Leaders Say: Emily has demonstrated a positive work ethic and she puts her full heart into everything she does. It has been a joy to watch Emily grow as a person and accomplish her goals.
