August 1, 2014Butler 4-H Auction is October 4, 2014 at the Vagabonds Center in Lyndora. The Venango 4-H auction is November 1, 2014 at the Venango Fairgrounds, starting at 5:00pm.
Lawrence County 4-H Shooting Sports: Archery
July 19, 2014The Lawrence County 4-H Shooting Sports Club will be adding an archery component for 2014. If you have an interest in being a part of the archery 4-H, please contact: Austin Beachem
July 7, 2014The Northwest Pennsylvania 4-H Camp was held June 12-15, at All Saints Camp, just north of Emlenton. 110 4-H members aged 7-15 from Butler, Lawrence, Crawford, Erie, Venango, Forest, Warren, Mercer, and Clarion Counties attended. 24 Teen counselors from the same counties also worked diligently to plan and conduct camp.

4-H Companion Animal Photo and Video Contest
September 17, 2014The Companion Animal Community of Practice through eXtension.org is pleased to announce that it is holding photo and video contest for youth interested in companion animals. At the link below, you can find general information about the contests as well as links to the specific rules/guidelines and a printable flyer you can use to promote the contests within your area. We would like to get large national participation in the contests.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program for 4-Hers
September 3, 2014WASHINGTON, D.C. - Over the past 19 years, Prudential Spirit of Community Awards have been given to more than 100,000 middle and high school students across the country for helping the less fortunate, promoting health and safety, protecting the environment, and serving their communities through many other volunteer activities. Today, the search begins to identify thousands more who have made meaningful contributions to their communities over the past 12 months, as the awards program kicks off its 20th year. These awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial, Inc. in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), honor outstanding community service by students in grades 5 through 12 at the local, state and national level.
August 13, 2014Pennsylvania was one of 12 state teams that competed in the 35th annual National 4-H Forestry Invitational from Sunday, July 27, through Thursday, July 31. Teams from Alabama, New York, and Georgia placed first, second, and third respectively. Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia were also represented at this year's Invitational.
Lebanon County 4-H Club Sends Rabbits to Haiti
July 30, 2014The Rags to Rabbits 4-H Club in Lebanon County has a Haitian connection. This year a 15 year old youth currently serving with his family as missionaries in Haiti enrolled in the Lebanon County 4-H Club to learn more about rabbits.
