4-H Centennial 2012 News
A Centennial Celebration! It’s not often we can experience such a milestone in our lifetime. Happy Birthday Pennsylvania 4-H! Few organizations or companies ever reach their centennial year. From rural beginnings to global success, Pennsylvania 4-H has grown into the largest youth development program in the state. Today’s 4-H Program encompasses all demographic populations in Pennsylvania between the ages of 5 and 18.
As we begin the centennial celebration, we are excited about the opportunity to celebrate our past and to position 4-H for the future. Whether as a 4-H professional, volunteer, youth, alumnus, or support-er, each of us is excited about this opportunity to work together across the Pennsylvania system to promote, market, and share the 4-H story.
Throughout the next year, we hope you will join us as we all find creative ways to take advantage of this celebration opportunity. The more localized our events and activities can be, the more meaningful they will be to members of the 4-H community.
Lackawanna County 4-H would like to invite you to participate in the planning of our local 4-H Centennial Celebration. Whether you are a parent, member, leader, or alumni, we need your input.
As part of the centennial celebration, Pennsylvania 4-H is compiling a history of the PA 4-H program through stories.
