Newly Formed 4-H Clubs Meet

There are two new clubs in Juniata County!

Spruce Hill Swine Club held its first meeting on January 21st at the Spruce Hill Grange. Thirteen youth were in attendance, as well as volunteer leaders and parents. The club members started planning this year’s schedule including community service projects, fundraisers, educational programs, and member demonstrations. The club will meet the third Thursday of the month at Spruce Hill Grange Hall. West Enders 4-H Sheep & Goat Club met for their first meeting on January 29th. There were 6 youth and 6 adults at the meeting. The meeting consisted of discussing future meeting dates, handing out books, demonstrations and election of officers. Dr. Michaela Fry talked about the different wool breeds and fleece judging.
