Jefferson County 4-H Members Have a Busy Summer

The members of the Jefferson County Clubs had a busy summer with several members attending Northwinds 4-H Camp. Several members went as campers while others served in the leadership roles of counselors.
The Jefferson County Fair was held the week of July 19 and all members had an exhibit on display from project books to sewing/cooking exhibits to the animals that they had raised during the year.
The 4-H round-up of projects was held on July 30 at the Warsaw Firehall with 60 attending. The Jefferson County 4-H County Council members lead games and craft activities for the members. A meal was held followed by an awards program.
Eight 4-H members attended State Achievement Days and participated in the 4-H air rifle Competition.
The final show in Jefferson of the summer season was the County 4-H Horse Show held on August 8-9 with 23 members qualifying to move on to the District 8 4-H Horse Show.
There are 5 members that will be showing their dairy animals at the Northwest District Dairy Show in September.
