Several of our members recently traveled to Harrisburg for the Keystone International Livestock Exposition.

Elizabeth Bruner competed in the Make It With Wool Contest, and placed second in her class for pre-teens – an excellent showing. She had to model a garment she had made that has wool in for the construction component.

The Knox family also attended. Morgan won a first and a fifth in the breed show for her Corriedale ewe that she had won in an earlier contest. She also won ninth place overall in leadline. Logan won fifth place overall in leadline out of a class of 14.

We also had three horse members attend youth shows at this event, with some very nice placings. Taylor Sheesley’s placings included Western Horsemanship Open Rider - 5th place; Western Horsemanship Junior Youth Rider - 2nd and 3rd; English Equitation Junior Youth Rider - 8th; All Day English Pleasure Youth Rider - 2nd; English Pleasure Junior Youth Rider - 3rd, and Junior Youth Showmanship - 3rd.

Paige Almes also competed with Open Equitation Over Fences - 1st place on two days and a second; Open Equitation Under Saddle - 3rd and 4th; Low Hunter Over Fences - 2nd and 4th.  She also won Open Equitation Champion on Day 1 and Open Equitation Reserve Champion on Day 2.

Congratulations to everyone for their excellent placings!
