March 1st to March 5th the State Council was at State 4-H Capital Days. Here, we led workshops, facilitated dinner programs, presided over mock meetings, and talked to State Legislators about the importance of supporting 4-H.

4-H WILD WINNERS

The 2013 4-H Wildlife and Forestry Field Day was a wild success! The event featured both competitive and non-competitive tracks, and over 70 youth and adults participated in the event. In the Wildlife Habitat Evaluation competitive track, teens from across Pennsylvania competed in their knowledge of wildlife and wildlife habitat.

Which Came First, The Chicken or the Egg

Spring is in the air and it’s that time of the year when I travel with our county 4-H extension educator to talk about embryology. First of all, what is it? Did the chicken come first or did the egg? Well, if you’re sitting through my demonstration, sometimes I talk about the chicken first and sometimes I talk about the egg first.
