ABOUT THE CAMP Did you know a farmer today feeds 144 people including his/her own family? Ag Science Day Camp is a hands-on learning experience to help children explore the world of agriculture and gain knowledge about where our food comes from. Children ages 8—10 (as of 1/1/13) may attend. The program is taught by Penn State Extension staff with the help of knowledgeable area volunteers. The staff to camper ratio is 1:4. Campers are only eligible to attend one year. Enrollment is limited to the first 48 campers. If you have any questions, please contact the Extension Office at 717-240-6500.
This camp our 4-H Staff and Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will guide campers through this three day camp, they will learn about Our Flying Friends while installing a 4-H Butterfly, Moth, and Hummingbird Garden at the Dauphin County Agriculture & Natural Resources Center. There will also be games, crafts, and more hands-on activities.

Our 2013 4-H Overnight Camp will be held June 29 - July 2, 2013 at Camp Eder near Fairfield, in Adams County. 4-H Members from Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, & York Counties will also be attending. All youth, ages 8-12 (as of 1/1/2013) are invited to join us to experiment with different projects.This year, the tracts are iris paper folding, strawberry jam making, and electricity projects.
This summer camp will focus on the art of Pet Care whether you have a goldfish, dog, cat, horse, chicken, or cavy. We want to help you become the best Pet Care Taker you can be. If you don't have the pet of your dreams this camp will help you learn tools for that future family member.
During the Technology Arts Camp, campers will make their very own stop-motion film, audio program, and record a public service announcement. Campers will record a DVD of their own to take home and share with all their friends family.
Come and enjoy Dauphin County's 4-H Fair. It will four days filled with fun.
All youth, ages 8-12 (as of 1/1/2013) are invited to join us to learn about various 4-H projects. This session, the choices are painting, fun with Frisbees, and woodworking.
In the kitchen everyone shares the tasty success of learning to bake and cook at 4-H Food Science Summer Day Camp. Campers will get hands on experience in the kitchen making tasty treats, preparing healthy meals, and performing hands on kitchen science experiments. This camp is fun for all and campers will be able to share their newly acquired tasty and fun life skills with the whole family.
4-H State Achievement Days is an educational three-day program for 4-H members (ages 13-18), sponsored each year by Penn State Extension. This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.
