2012 4-H PA State Leaders Forum
In recognition of Pennsylvania 4-H’s centennial year, the 4-H State Leaders Forum will enjoy a weekend-long kick-off celebration in conjunction with the 4-H State Leadership Conference. This year’s forum will be held at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center during the weekend of January 20-22, 2012.
Friday will begin the weekend with an evening of opening ceremonies, including an ice cream social and the opportunity to write or record your 4-H story with the 4-H Centennial Committee.
As in past years, Saturday will include a variety of workshops and presentations focused on leadership, technology, animal projects, food science, shooting sports, and clothing and textiles. The annual recognition luncheon will also be held on Saturday, and will honor our leaders who have volunteered 20+ years of service to 4-H. The evening will close with a 4-H birthday banquet to celebrate 100 years of 4-H youth programming in Pennsylvania.
For leaders who wish to stay overnight on Saturday, there will be several hour-long workshops offered on Sunday morning. Topics include judging, backpacking, emergency preparedness, a foods project update, and building community service within your 4-H club.
It is time to start making plans to join us as we kick off a year-long celebration of our centennial year of 4-H. We are anticipating a great conference and hope to see many of you in January!
